His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali has arrived at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago for the opening ceremony of the 45th Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

This year, CARICOM is also celebrating 50 years since the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas, between Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago which gave birth to the regional body.
